Where does the time go?!

I feel like I am always so behind on blogging, but nobody probably reads these- so i'm the only one who actually notices! But seriously, where does the time go?!

First off I just want to start by noting that today has been the 2 year mark of the passing away of Rick. I honestly can't believe it's been two years. Some days it feels like it was just yesterday and other days it feels like it's been 10 years. It's amazing to me to look at how much everyone has grown up and really made so much more out of life. I look at Blake for instance and not just his appearance has drastically changed, but he is so independent and is already DRIVING AND DATING! I'm sure it's more crazy for his brothers, Amy, and Tammy to see him 16! It's weird for me because when I first starting hanging out with Jesse he was as short as I am, high squeaky voice and the shyest little boy ever.. well, at least to me. Now he is so mature, has grown two feet, and is the man of the house now that Justin is getting married next week. Life really does go on, and if you want a great example of growing from your trials and becoming a better person, I have the perfect examples in my life. Rick you sure are missed, but I know you're nothing less than a proud husband and father looking down on your family. Everyday I am reminded of the father that you were to your kids hearing nothing but laughs and heart-felt stories of their hero. I know you're up in heaven preparing our kids (your grandkids) for us, and probably telling them all the stories of the little stinker Jesse was ;)

We sure miss you and love you.

Gone but NOT forgotten.

A little catch up on our lives.

Jesse is working at Wells Fargo as a banker. Definitely not his dream job, but it is a job in these scary times and I'm so grateful for him working so much to provide for us. He is amazing!

I am still working at Paul Mitchell, but taking a little leave trying to get my life back in order. Photography has been going really really good and I'm staying busy. I still love and enjoy it, so that's good! My health problems are still the same. I have good and bad days and i'm still going up north to see my doctor once a month. Still praying they can fix my stomach! It's definitely been a nice break from work to catch up on my life! My house is more clean then ever. It's so crazy how it is so clean one day and the next day it's like a tornado hit.. and we don't even have kids yet! AHH! It's so nice to be able to have dinner ready and the house cleaned before Jesse gets home. It's definitely taken a lot of stress of my life for this month. :) It's also made me want to get going on things I've put off, like food storage and emergency preparedness! I know I really need to get going on that because time's are scary right now. I thought about how scared I am to bring children into this evil corrupted world! Then I thought, our children are prepared for this time and this generation. If we do all we can to teach them the things they need to and give them all the necessities they WILL succeed! Having that thought really made me more confident and even more ready to start a family soon.

Life has been really great though. We learn and grow daily and I am so thankful for all my many blessings.

Here are some recent pictures I had my sister snap while I was shooting her family session.

ENJOY!

I'm the luckiest.

Life keeps on going..

“In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.”
― Robert Frost

Life does go on and we've learned so much in the last couple years how much we are blessed and need to look past the trials and take from them the lessons to make us grow stronger. Jesse has been persistently looking for a job that he could enjoy until he figures out what he wants to do for the rest of his life. He's an Ence, of course he will own his own company some day, but until then he needed something to get us by. After the insurance company sold out he was stressed and didn't know where to even begin for a job because all he ever knew was Insurance. My husband is one of the smartest men I know so I knew that he could get a job, NO PROBLEM! He has always been into technology and probably has the manuel to every apple product memorized so I always told him to go sell cell phones, because if you know Jesse, he could sell you an iPhone in less then 5 minutes. So he interviewed and they were so impressed with him they thought he would be an awesome candidate for the managers position in Cedar. He interviewed for that and we were just waiting to hear back. Meanwhile he was just working as a sales agent in the store. He really did enjoy the job, but a lot of promises weren't made and he was a little disappointment with the whole thing. He wasn't happy! I know what it's like not enjoying your job, and no matter how much money you make (which wasn't a problem with this job), it's never worth sticking with it. One night we were out with our friends and his good friend told him to apply for a banking position at Wells Fargo because he works there and thinks Jesse would rock it! So Jesse applied and GOT THE JOB! We are so excited for him!! The only down fall is that he has training in Salt Lake all week for 4 weeks. That leaves me pretty lonely! But I am so excited for him and he really is enjoying the job so far.

So, a little update on me. Well if you know me, you know i've always had something weird going on with my little body. I've had ulcers and sometimes I go through some pretty harsh episodes with them. My stomach was bothering me really bad for about a month, so I decided to go in and see a stomach specialist. Well to make a story short it leaded up to looking for Crohn's with a colonoscopy. It's easy to say that it was a terrible time prepping for it and I've been having some pretty bad side effects. So far they haven't been able to detect anything so I'm just waiting to hear back from my doctor. We are hoping it's something easy and curable. (and NO, i'm not pregnant.. unfortunately)

Other than my crazy health problems everything is going really good. My photography is really picking up and I hope to soon go full time with that. I am still working at Paul Mitchell and i'm so blessed to have such a great job working with amazing people! Our families are doing pretty well, i'm expecting new nieces, or nephews and we're getting a new sister in-law, Jesslin, whom I had the opportunity to capture their engagement hiding behind a tree! haha!

We also have been going on some pretty fun trips! We went to San Francisco with all of Jesse's family and had a blast. We went to the Winchester Mansion, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alchatraz Prison, China Town, and lots of other fun little tourist places. It was really fun and I would love to go back! Then we went to Lake Powell with all of my family over my birthday and it was so much fun. Camille even brought mustache's and made it a fun birthday party. It's been quite the eventful summer! Enjoy the pics!

Life is so great, and we are so blessed, and I AM extremely blessed with such a great husband! The one  great thing about being sick is having such a great man to know will be there through thick and thin for me. He has been such an amazing rock for me and really will do anything I ask of him. Husbands are so great, if you haven't told yours that lately, get on it! I love mine so much!

Oh yeah, one thing I forgot to mention is i'm typing on my brand new 27' iMac that I am loving. Jesse finally convinced me to get a new computer for editing, and why not go big or go home?! I am a new convert to Apple, and i'm a true believer.

Well, till next time.

July!

July has been quite the eventful month! To start it off Justin came home off his mission from Brazil. It was really great to see him and it's been really fun having him home.

I headed to Richfield for the fourth of July to be with my family! It was really fun, but I sure did miss my hubby!

It was such a great week! Now back to work :( My photography also has been picking up, which is always great! Jesse also got a job at Verizon Wireless. So far it's not too bad and he's doing a great job. Life is so great right now, and I couldn't be happier.
